K. P. Brahmanandan (Malayalam:കെ. പി.
ബൠരഹൠമാനനൠദൻ; 22 February 1946 â€" 10 August
2004) was a South Indian playback singer from Kerala. He has sung more
than 160 songs in Malayalam films.Brahmanandan was born in
Kadakkavoor, which is located north of Trivandrum district in Kerala.
His father was a pioneer in boat architecture and his name has taken
him far beyond boundaries. He was the third child of his parents, who
had eight children altogether. Brahmanandan was the father of Rakesh
Brahmanandan, noted Malayalam singer.Brahmanandan died at his home in
Kadakkavoor on 10 August 2004, at the age of 58. He was a chronic
diabetic and also suffered from various other health problems. He is
survived by his wife Usha, son Rakesh and daughter Athira.
